Elevating the Standard of Patient Advocacy Through Rigorous Educational Content
The Healthcare Advocate Summit in collaboration with the Coalition of Healthcare Advocacy Organizations (CHCAO) invites submissions for the 2025 conference, focused on advancing the education, skills, and professional standards of Board Certified Patient Advocates (BCPAs). This is an opportunity to share innovative practices, research, and case studies that address the evolving challenges in patient advocacy while exemplifying the highest level of professional rigor.
Submission Categories
We are particularly interested in abstracts that align with the core competencies of patient advocacy, including but not limited to:
Ethical Practices and Professionalism: Addressing dilemmas and solutions in adherence to ethical guidelines.
Patient-Centered Care: Strategies for empowering clients in healthcare decision-making.
Advocacy Across Systems: Effective or innovative navigation of complex healthcare systems and interprofessional collaboration.
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI): Initiatives and practices supporting underserved populations.
Innovative Tools and Resources: Technology, frameworks, and techniques improving advocacy outcomes.
Evidence-Based Practices: Research-backed methods and their practical applications in advocacy work.
Guidelines for Abstracts
Submissions should reflect the professionalism and depth expected of a Board Certified Patient Advocate, including:
A clear and concise description of the session topic, objectives, and takeaways.
Demonstrated expertise in the subject matter, supported by relevant data, research, or case studies.
Practical applications for attendees, with actionable strategies or tools.
Alignment with the latest best practices and ethical standards in patient and health care patient advocacy.
Presentation Formats
Abstracts may propose the following formats:
Poster Presentations: Visual displays of research, initiatives, or case studies with opportunities for attendee interaction.
Panel Discussions: Insights from diverse perspectives on critical topics.
Case Studies: Detailed analysis of advocacy challenges and solutions.

Submission Guidelines
Word Count: 300-500 words
Submission Deadline: March 26th, 2025
Each abstract must include a session title, presenter headshots and bios, target audience, learning objectives, and a brief description of the content.
